@Aphoresis I'll take your word for it--I had said it was "around $3.25" because I simply looked at a line graph and estimated.
I'm very pleased that you understand the Constitution. Counting myself, that puts the number of Americans who do at....I think.....12 now?

What I meant was that it was HIGHER ($3.80 ) . This is however lower than what I thought it was when I first responded to your comment. I thought it had been $ 4.25, but it turns out that this movie came one month before it was raised to that rate. I agree with you about the idea of the minimum wage being unconstitutional though.

@Aphoresis If you mean that you thought it was lower, I thought the same as you--my recollection was that minimum wage was around $2.75 when this movie came out, but I checked the figures. Apparently, by this time it was around $3.25.
Of course, the important issue is that a minimum wage law is unconstitutional and anti-American. If an adult citizen is not allowed to knowingly and willfully accept whatever compensation he deems acceptable in exchange for his services, he is not free.

No way, Minimum Wage was about that much in the early 80's.

@YoOo0oToOo0ob That wasn't minimum wage. Minimum wage was around $3.25 at that time.
