There were things in this that used to scare me. I bet no one today knows who the singer is, except the singer himself.

I think you would find that Sesame Street sketch on the Sesame Street Old School Volume 1 DVD set.

I certainly do have copies of that book; a mint condition original hardcover which, for some unknown reason, mixed color pictures with black-and-white ones (for those of you reading this who don't have a copy), and two soft-cover versions which were so much better produced than the original, and the version I grew up with as a kid and remember the most fondly.

Exactly. If you have a copy of "The Sesame Street Book of Numbers", you'll find that the numbers do indeed match exactly.

This is definitely more Jazz than blues. I do remember this animation and it still rocks today. Not boring at all.
