Katie rides Arabian mare in Gymkhana horse games

Young girl rides seasoned Arabian mare in barrels and pole bending competitions at horse show. Katie on this day did a lot of loping, and the mare did a few flying lead changes! She won ribbons in every class! Sept. 26, 2010 at http://lakesregionridingacademy.com/home in Gilford, NH.

@KatarenaCole all of 9 years old! Mare is experienced, but not really at gymkhana, she was ridden huntseat pleasure in the showing part of her career.

@horsepaintings my horse was an english and light jumping show horse. he's good on trails and he is my barrel horse now but he doesnt turn like that. He is a good barrel horse for me tho cuz im a beginer barrel racer so i can't really handle that paceing thing and he is just like what ever, but people always under estimate him. they think he is a beginers horse... he likes to test people and if u ask him to run u better know what ur askin for cuz if u ask he gives it all :)

@1233Maya She is just a good all-around horse. She has been ridden western and English, was very good at hunter pleasure and arabian costume classes, and did some eventing with Pony Club. But barrel racing is something she had NOT done before she started gymkhana with this little girl! I love her flying changes, that young rider is not asking for those, they are being done by the mare.
