So from what i just saw here if i don't own a midi controller of any sort(ahrdware) i can't just audition the drum grooves on the fly and then drag n drop into my DAW track??..I have to buy Ez player pro-is this right?
I'm completely new to electronic drums, ive just bought a Roland td9kx2, i have a sony laptop and im looking for software so i can record, play new kits that roland dont have on the module, basically can you give me a lowdown on what i need, i dont have a mac or pro tools, i have a sony vaio does this mean i have to buy sony Acid aswell as drum software such as superior drummer 2.2
I think I am gonna sell my TD20 and buy a cheaper digi-set and then go for SP.
It seemes SP has a much more real feel in all their sounds. It feels overkill not to have the need to use all the different kits in TD20 unless you are a show artist.
I just wanna rock with the closest to real drum feel at home and be able to use it while I am recording songs/albums at home.
Can you mix this with amplitube?

@Zazquatch1
Everything that can send midi to SD2.0 will work. A TD 20 will work just as fine as an Alesis or MegaDrum.

What Midi drumkits will work with SD 2.0?
Will even a Roland TD 20 kit work?
