The US Government has collected more tax revenues than it had at any time in history for the year 2006,2005 and for 2004. The Iraq war is a relatively small fraction of the US budget, regardless of your feelings on the war. Increases in social welfare programs are the major reason for the present budget deficit, regardless of your feelings about such programs. The US spent over 150% of it's yearly GDP to fight the second world war.

@mannster21 Properly allocating resources, Earth could sustain approximately 30 billion people. We're right at about 6.5 billion right now. The reason the environment is taking damage is because our practices are not efficient and sufficiently well developed in terms of sustainability. However, that has been improving over time and will continue to improve.

The only real reason to support fascist population control is a general hate of human life, typical of environmentalists.
