  • I think in evaluating burnout, you can't disregard the psychological framework from which actions are generated.

    For example, if a person's has an inherent belief in "saving" those with chronic or terminal illnesses, burnout is inevitable. But if the motivation for caregiving is to provide comfort in that moment of interaction, burnout is less likely. At least that's been the case with me for the past 8 years.
