Also, as Joel Burns mentions in multiple interviews, it isn't just gay kids. It is ANY kid perceived as different. I am still harassed: now because of my weight. Example: a while back, standing at an outdoor ATM waiting for my cash to come out, a group of young guys walk by and say "Hey, when you get your money, give it to Jenny Craig!" It hurts, even at age 44.

Brandon: Thank you. You're a great guy! I appreciate your perspective. As a gay teen boy, I was bullied mercilessly. I attempted suicide multiple times. While, thankfully, I didn't succeed with those attempts, that bullying affects me on a daily basis even now, at age 44. It's VERY tough for me to be open in many situations, for fear of what people will say. Very guarded. It's gratifying to see younger people like you trying to make a difference! THANK YOU!
