Outlander Casting 2009

Don't hate!

As most of you, I also pictured Gerard Butler as Jamie (in my mind he always will be), but for casting a movie now in 2009, these are some ideas...just ideas.

I realise the when Roger was in it he is just a little boy and Brianna is not in the story until DIA...I just wanted to include them.

The original song was "Tonight and the Rest of my Life" by Nina Gordon - I worked hard on the timing too!

But I was forced to change :(

its a shame that Gabriel Aubry is just a model. He would have been perfect. You should look at Chris Hemsworth for Jamie, he is a good alternative.

I do like Gabriel Aubrey as Jamie - good choice!! Tommy Flanagan has gotten kind of heavy for Murtaugh, and love James MacAvoy, but he short for Ian.

I have done research on British actresses and my first two choices for Claire Randall would be: Young Claire Older Claire Zoe Tapper  Miranda Richardson Gemma Arterton Jacqueline Leondard

I'm still researching good matches young and older Claire. I will update here again soon.

Kate Winslet would be perfect for Claire; however, she is too old to play young Claire and too young to play older Claire. Drats!

How about Kevin McKidd as Jamie? He's Scottish, he's 27, and has reddish-blond hair. I like Rachel Weisz as Claire. Interesting selections.
