A romp of a broad reach for miles and miles down Rosario Strait. The wind just kept building and building, getting better and better as the day went on. At the end of this clip you can see how simple and trouble-free it can be to heave-to in a lug yawl. The only thing I had to do was haul in the mizzen sheet, let fly the main, and drop the tiller. Done. The boat then looks after you.

  • Nice boats. What is the design? I am looking to build Arch Davis's 12' Maine Peapod that has been recently featured in WoodenBoat Magazine, and was lucky enough to find your video. I love that you have this set up as a yawl. I would like to do the same, which is not in the plans, but I am sure that I could modify them for this feature.
