I know someone who is doing this. I live vicariously through you all willing to run the wilds of the frozen landscape. Thanks for sharing!!

Wow- thanks so much for posting this. I'm signed up for next year's race, 2010 and am having a heck of time imagining what I'm really up against. Stuff like your post really help.

Great job on this! I've run 25 marathons over the last 25 years, but nothing quite like Antarctica! Quite a few in northern Canada (Northwest Territories and Labrador), but this looks waaaay more rugged than even those. Lovely video and you really seemed to catch the spirit of what was going on there. I don't think I'll ever run the Antarctica Marathon, but if I were ever to do so - I'd use your video as a reason why!

Hi Rob,
Mary and Kazumi's dad here. This is a great video. It definitely captures the spirit and camaraderie that was the "race." It was an experience to drink in, not one to race through. It was great to meet and get to know you somewhat. Blessings to you and your family. Jim Gordon
nice. what kind of running shoes do u wear? and what kind of gear?

The gear was nothing special. A light Brooks running jacket and long sleeve wicking shirt underneath. Some running pants, and a pair of Brooks running shoes. It was quite the awesome adventure!
