Spiderman is surprisingly tragic. It's like- he's just a teenager and he's having to choose RIGHT NOW whether he wants to give his entire life/popularity/friends to save the lives of strangers or not. I do NOT envy that part of the Spiderman gig.

Not to mention his life at home. Don't forget, he doesn't have the luxury most teenagers have.

He can't complain to Aunt May, especially if he doesn't want to give her a heart-attack. He can't afford to be blissful of thier financial problem.

Some kids get all the luck, living a sheltered teen-hood, at least before college.

Then you have Peter, who must hunt for criminals (and good Spidey photos) just to keep a roof over Aunt May's head, and then his own.
