Thats the problem with teaching programming. Most people think you have to know it all or else its useless. I did not learn (teach it to myself) until high school, and looking back, i sucked at coding, but i was still able to do things with it. Thats what they need to teach more than anything.

Because we are caught up in reading, writing( we still need to communicate), basic math through Alg 2 (reasoning skills), history (understanding why countries hold resentment/issues) and languages (we are global now, not going away), with goverment. In the information age we have far too much information to teach everything. They have this in Academy classes where students can get certified. BTW, not everyone is cut out to program also.
