Blizzard installer has encountered and error and needs to close...

For some reason, I could't install WOTLK from the DVD; however, I upgraded my account to WOTLK Expansion, as you can see here:

(I tried everything to install WOTLK from the DVD, like Copying the entire dvd into a folder in my HD and trying to installing it from that folder, logged using safe mode as administrator; dowloading the Universal World of Warcraft Client, etc etc... and nothing... got the same problem: "Blizzard installer has encountered an error and needs to close..."). As you can see here:

So the questions are:

(1) as I already upgraded my account to the WOTLK Expansion, Will I be able to have access to the content of the expansion? Considering that I already downloaded all the patches to the 3.0.9...

(2) In other words, Do I really need to install that DVD or is enough with the patches that I already downloaded and installed?

I found the solution I had to format my PC. apparently when this problem happen, it does mean that you have registry problems. I really dont know, but after the format, I installed the game successfully

Encontre la solucion, hay que formatear la PC. Aparentemente cuando estos problemas ocurren es porque en la compu hay problemas de registro.. en verdad no lo se porque yo baje y corri programas que juraban corregir problemas de registro.

try to make a folder then copy the whoale game in it then press the exe file so it will install without cd it worked for me
