  • why is it the guy who has his head down (number one thing they teach not to do starting in peewees) gets sympathy. Joe Thorton is 5 inches taller than Perron. Where does his shoulder come to. Do we start penalizing 215lb guys for hitting 175lb guys also? NHL is going down the wrong path. Hopefully they get this straightened out.

  • I honestly don't think it's that big of a deal, Perron gets back up.

And I believe he scored one of the goals too.

  • @SolidSnake09999 He missed 97 games! are you fucking kidding me?

  • @ljjasper Really? for "hitting" 175 lb guys? He slammed him in the head! Clearly intent to injure. I don't care if it was blind side or not, or if he had his head down (it was to the side, looking back at the puck) He clearly targets his head. Cheap hit, Thornton should have been suspended for 20 games. He had all the time in the world to line him up, he could have just as easily lowered his shoulder into perron's chest and sent him flying legally. Frankly, I would have liked to see it.

  • @amberatthedisco3 and then missed 97 consecutive games with post concussion syndrome

  • @amberatthedisco3 He's also been out for over a year because of this hit. Supposed to come back within the next couple of hits. Couldn't even play video games for a long time because of this bum you call a hockey player

  • @ljjasper Joe could have bent his knees and met Perron shoulder to shoulder perhaps...MAYBE just MAYBE thats what the league is explicitly telling players to do when hitting north south i.e. 90 degrees

  • Fuck Joe thorton he's a fuckin wanna be tough guy

  • You people are stunod. He didn't have the puck yet, total blinside hit as well. Its a real shame, and may have cost the note a playoff spot. Hope he recovers soon.

  • clean hit. sucks to be on the receiving end of that. No one signs up to play hockey because its safe. This is part of the game always has been and hopefully always will be. "Give Blood, Play Hockey"

  • @bayareagooner Dude i have played hockey for a long time and had many concussions due to hits like this and have given out the same hits all those hits have resulted in penalties not sure why you think this one is clean but hey what do i know

  • The fact that Perron got back up and played normally and even scorred, just comepletely takes all doubt of this suspension out. Total bullshit he got suspended for that. Clean hit, Perron kept his head down, and Thornton is also five inches taller. Come on.
