Not sure who you are talking about, when you say "hates America". Him saying "thy" could have been a slip up. He did do a lot drugs in his day. But some people think of any criticism of America as 'hate', when in reality the person loves America, yet wants it to live up to a higher standard. As it says in the Preamble; "...a more perfect union".
