@crazykaraoke Looking "cool" is more about the way you dress and the way you wear your hair. You could look like a rock star if you tried. I also feel like it should be pointed out that David Byrne (Talking Heads) is one of the dorkiest looking mofos on the planet, and he was exceptionally famous in the 80's.

As the old cliche' goes about not judging a book by its cover. I saw this dude and thought "ruhh rohh...crappy karaoke to come" because he looks like a high school history teacher or insurance salesman. THEN he opens his mouth and completely KICKED ASS!!! Great job! Just goes to show you can still "dress respectable" and be a rocker at heart.
