This is a short little jaunt up the mountain to approx. 5000 ft. elevation. The Honda 49cc 4 stroke engine makes the trip effortlessly using a Staton Inc. gear box. The trike is a Sun EZ3-HD. There is a fiberglass body with roof designed to fit this vehicle. The molds are almost done! We'll see it clad with its new body this summer. It will carry 5 bags of groceries in the aerodynamic tail fairing/trunk. The engine gets approx. 150 mpg. This thing is a BLAST to ride!

  • Nice sounding rig...what's your ratio and what does this setup cruise at? NIce job too...I'd like to use this motor but I'm not sure I want to spend the $s until I do a prototype with a copy? any advice ?

  • That's cool. I have a Miami Sun Trike that I would love to do the same thing, but don't have a clue where to start.

  • Funny how the motorcycle rider takes your picture and the upright riders pretend you aren't even there! Did any of them return your greeting?

  • Do you have any engine braking function?

  • I love my motor bicycle. It is like a very light motorcycle, and still functions as a bicycle for legal purposes and in case of motor failure. It feels a lot like bicycling normally but I can go more places or ride further in a day. The payload is very nice because I use it like a car sometimes to go to tourist areas or get groceries.

  • Too bad the car drivers suck and can't just pass you normally (slowing behind or overtaking normally so you can use the lane)

  • @EMHO3 Maybe his purpose is to travel light and save money. Looks like epic win to me!

  • I have a trike like this and would NEVER put a motor on it. It defeats the whole purpose!

  • Poke in a little motor, high ratio flat land pedal gearing, and a full fairing, and you could pull about 100Kmh at about 100Km a liter. (60mph at 260 miles per gallon)

  • That's an awesome setup! But do you ever pedal it in combo with the engine?
