Dawn Patrol Hot Air Balloons Reno Nv 2008

Reno Nv has the hot air balloon races every Sept the weekend after labor day this was their 27th year. The dawn patrol fly their balloons before the sun comes up and it is so dark they are amazing....hope you enjoy it like I do, we have been going to this event since it started. Ozzy couldn't make it this time! lol

I've been going to this event for going on 21 years. I especially love the Dawn Patrol. Those balloons look so pretty lit up against the early morning sky. I go for 2 reasons. 1: I enjoy seeing all the pretty colors and shapes of the balloons. And 2: My best friend's mother is one of the pilots during the Mass Ascension. She pilots the Falling Star balloon sponsered by AmeriGas propane.

@trainman666 How wonderful that you know someone that flies in those wonderful balloons. It is a fantastic thing to watch, I believe everyone should experience it as many times as possible. We have been going for more than 20 years. AWESOME

@bowzip Well I hope to see you there one year, if you do attend, I'll meet you where the Falling Star balloon takes off from (which I believe is the west side of the field). I'll be wearing a railroad engineer's hat.

We used to go every year when I was a kid, I was just telling my husband about how cool Dawn patrol was and how much our little boys would love it, so happy I found a good youtube video to show him what I was talking about! Its really one of the coolest things I've ever seen!
