This video will show you how to determine the level at which your head unit starts to clip. Watch and understand the video, I'm not responsible for any damage that may occur.

  • Thank you this works perfectly!

  • @ofnarcr I'm glad it helped you! =)

  • @noumenarete Did that, but im wondering if it matters if i use a desktop computer Vs a laptop. Excuse me for my ignorance. I believed i followed everything to a tee. The only thing i didnt use with the microphone input, but i dont believe that would have mattered.

  • @pnsty It doesn't matter if you use a desktop computer, and it is actually better if you use the "Line input" instead of the "mic input", as it doesn't boost the signal, which can distort it. Just make sure you use the pontentiometer as shown in the video, otherwise the sound card or audio input could get damaged.

  • I having issues with a clean sine wave, do i have to use RCA's that connect from the radio and then attach the SINGLE RCA using the female adapter??

  • @pnsty Well no really, you can actually use a cheap RCA, connect it to the radio and cut the other end, and then take the signal from there. You can use left or right channel, it doesn't matter.
