Na its all good, anyway we don't have any apple stores in New Zealand, its easier than it looks, but im rather used to opening tricky computers so its all good.

You wanna try opening a 24" imac, i did it to clean out the dust in my 4 month old 24" alu imac, wow it takes some balls to open it, its easy though, just a little worrying

Thanks for pointing that out! Yeah, I followed iFixIt's guide and I too thought it could have been skipped but didn't actually try it. Good to know to for future hdd upgrades.
