Is this Toomey guy for real? This country needs money and apparently he's suggesting to ask beggars for money. Tax the rich! They can afford it! That's where the money is, that's where we should go for money. Since the tax cuts, the rich haven't been investing and hiring more, so... make them pay. Since Bush's cuts, the situation has been getting worse, does noone see this?
You know, for the record, i would like to see pat toomey in front of the middle class americans repeating wut he sed about the bush tax cuts. And also, for the record, this is the man that basically created derivatives that kept regulations on wall street away, and then talks about no more bailouts wen they fuck up because of no regulation, he made all his money off of wall street as a lobbyist, all of his donation money is from wall street, he is literally a puppet of wall street.
Market was already collapsing before Obama took office. October 9, 2007 the DOW peaked at 14164 and then began to drop. By July of 2008, just months after Obama took office, the DOW dropped to 11215 because the market peaked and was over bought. Stupid people continued to pour their money into a market that was already way over valued and artificially inflated. The drop had nothing to do with Obama. In fact to the contrary, corporate fraud caused much of the drop.
After the Bush tax cuts were passed, gov't tax revenue exploded, & jobs were created. After Obama's failed "stimulus" package that just moved everyone to the gov't payroll, unemployment doubled. I believe in free commerce over being dependent on the government for everything I need. Therefore I do not believe in the Democratic Party. Vote Republican!
"Even very conservative economists who have worked for the Bush administration - including Greg Mankiw, a former chairman of the Council of Economic Advisers under President Bush who is now an advisor to Mr. Romney - have publicly stated that today's tax revenues would be EVEN HIGHER were it NOT for the Bush tax cuts" - Jonathon Chait, a senior editor at the NEW REPUBLIC!
