Sendo o Japão uma ilha, e possuindo uma densidade demográfica bastante acentuada, aliado a uma ocupação urbana agressiva, surge o problema da falta de espaço. Construções que demandam grandes áreas se tornam inviáveis. Desta forma, uma nova tendência na engenharia traz uma nova alternativa para tal necessidade: ilhas artificiais, feitas sob encomenda. Quatro aeroportos já foram construídos com esta técnica - Kobe, Kitakyushu, Kansai e Cyubu, este último mostrado no vídeo em suas etapas de execução.

Japan is an island, and has a population density rather sharp, combined with an aggressive urban occupation, the lack of space problem arises. Buildings that require large areas become unviable. Thus, a new trend in engineering brings a new alternative to such a need: artificial islands, custom. Four airports have been built with this technique - Kobe, Kitakyushu, Kansai and Cyubu, the latter shown in the video in its stages of implementation.
