Tinkering with WIVI and LASS to remake Death Note theme

More tinkering videos with WIVI and LASS. I use them to remake a main theme from the anime series 'Death Note'. It shows a little more of my work process, this time using LA Scoring Strings and WIVI brass. You can't actually hear it, but I had the original score playing in headphones as I was working on this, for reference.

nice use of lass here. hey do you have problems rendering with LASS in FL studio. I get sound drop outs.

Did you ever try to activate A.R.T. of LASS in FL Studio? If you did how did you do it?

You're best to log onto the audiobro forums using your LASS serial key and ask there. Lots of helpful people around to point you in the right direction :)

nice vid. Can I ask you something...

In the end you use EDIT EVENTS for dynamics. But like you self notice, the editing with the mouse is to inacurate and messes up fast. Do you know how to make the "blocks" which you "paint" the Editting lines bigger ? its easier like that to make convincing lines

If I need to edit more accurately I'll normally open the event editor in FL studio. I agree though, it can be a bit hard to draw the lines sometimes. It's one of the things that FL studio could do better.

You can also use the little boxes near the scrollbar arrows to zoom in and out, vertically.

@dummeh i managed to get it to work now. for some reason all it took was to "enable multiple outputs" on the kontakt player. :D

Why don't you just play each part in with your midi controller?  Drawing the notes with the pencil tool is ARCHAIC... soundcloud . com / mulletchuck
