  • You guys obviously know a lot about movies but it seems to me that you haven't read enough PKD to make a fair assessment. For example, your critique of Total Recall is unfair, which in my opinion is the closest movie to the story. The last line of the movie is "I just had a terrible thought, what if this was all a dream?" and then fades out to white like a dream. It is the only movie that leaves the viewer wondering if the story is real or a dream. PKD is all about questioning reality.

  • Do Androids of Electric Sheep is also a full length novel - not a novella.

  • really god show =)

  • Did I hear you say you are gonna do a Terry Gilliam show at some point on here? Yaaaay, indeed.

  • Sucking up the grad student grant money, I see (speaking of "What is real, what is not?")...

  • @Bluehawk2008 >> Yeah, I saw Waking Life on DVD and figured I would've walked out had I seen it in theatres. There's some things I like (the car boat and the discussion there, and the reunion of Ethan Hawke and Julie Delphy from Before Sunrise). This is basically a bunch of lectures sewn together, which isn't a film, just a bore.

  • He's right about Waking Life being pretentious in the sense that none of the encounters feel real. The characters just suddenly switch gears and start sermonizing, which is fine for the content itself, but as a narrative it's just not well put together.

  • BLADER RUNNER is the fifth best film of ALL TIME!!!!! And I had the pleasure of working on it.

  • Bruce Dern has a pathalogical hatred of Science Fiction and he list SILENT RUNNING as his favortite movie. You should talk about that film!

  • that nerds acting like rotoscope screwed his wife
