This is one Danger to feeding Live Mice

Warning: LIVE MICE are being fed in this video, if you do not like this then please do not watch.
Yes I know that some of you will be asking then why do you still feed them live mice. Well one reason is that it is convienent. When you have 30 plus snakes not having defrost that many mice makes the process easier. Also believe it or not but live mice cost less then frozen where I am at. so this is a good advantage to. However, when ever I do feed my snakes LIVE MICE I ALWAYS watch them to make sure there are no problems.
This is One dangerous reason why you should not feed your snakes live mice. As you can see the snake wrapped around the mouse. However it did not kill the mouse fully. So it ate the mouse still alive and you can see it moving in the snake's stomach after finishing it. The mouse will die shortly after due to lack of oxygen. This is extremely dangerous though because it can and probably will cause internal injuries to the snake.

@HarisBilal1994 No, it can not. At least not one this tiny. However, the snake has tiny claws, and I was afraid that the mouse was going to scratch the snakes insides and possibly tear the snakes stomach or something else.

Can't you just cut the baby mouse's legs off so that it won't hurt your snake?

well thats with corn snakes-as for ball pythons-they wrap it all the way even if they think the mouse is dead they still will wrap just in case-corn snakes....not so much
