From mid 1975, an NBC Nightly News segment in which John Chancellor intros a new piece about the classic comedy trio, "The Three Stooges" which discusses their impact on the generation of the 1970s, most fans of which weren't even born when the original reels first aired in theaters back in the early 1930s. Moe Howard, (who it is mentioned died right after this piece was completed) gives what has to be his final interview, albeit brief. Rare piece on a great team! NOTE: THE AUDIO IS VERY LOW. PLEASE TURN UP YOUR VOLUME TO LISTEN TO THE PIECE. THANKS!

  • Moe Howard was quite the visionary. Remember that at the time of his final interviews in 1975, all that they had back then was fragile film stock. Not until after 1980 did video tape exist, followed in the 1990s with high definition DVD, and after 2000 Blu-ray. So he was truly speaking as one looking into the future, seeing 2015 as if it were 1975. The only thing I'm waiting to see now is if they'll ever decide to redo the Stooges library in 3D! Wow!

  • @abyssfan4ever God bless you, bringing up ensuing generations on the Stooges! This stuff is timeless, and my father, who just passed away the end of November, used to see first Stooge releases in the late '30's & early '40's. I don't have kids of my own, so someone has to carry on the tradition! Never was much of a Joe Besser fan, though.

  • There is no real comedy today

  • In Brasil today we watch The Three Stooges in TCM Channel, (Os Tres Patetas in Brasil).

But I like them since my 4 years old, since 1974.

The Three Stooges will live forever.

  • nothing on tv today can match the three stooges. the way they talk, the jokes, the sound effects, hit eachother with what they can get their hands on. Im 17 years old right now and was brought up with 3 stooges because my dad has tapes of almost every episode. I intend to bring my kids up watching the stooges also

  • been a 3 stooges fan since 1982 when our cable company put t.v. station WTBS CH.17(now just TBS)on their cable system.

  • @DWarrior4 Don't forget Shemp. He was fairly good. After his death the other guys weren't so funny.Curly is the best.

  • I have watched these masters of comedy in at least 10 different languages and still funny. my kids watch them now and maybe someday my grand kids.

the stooges will be missed but never forgotten :-( :-)

  • Joe Besser was the lamest stooge.
