Cory Cross scores in overtime to beat Ottawa - 2001 playoffs

Leafs defenceman Cory Cross scores in overtime to win game three of the Leafs/Senators first round series in 2001.

This was an underrated playoff game. The Sens were down 2-0 in the series after being shutout at home in back-to-back games by Curtis Joseph. The Leafs lead game three 2-0 late in the third and it seemed liked Cujo would get this third shutout, but the Sens scored twice late to send the game to overtime.

If Ottawa had won in OT, it could have turned the series around. Instead Cross scored the winner for a 3-0 series lead, and the Sens rolled over in game four.

at :12 second in look where cujo is when alfredsson shoots, he takes a step forward and there's not much net to shoot at

if reimer or gustavsson were in net, that would be a goal because they would be standing on the line

@The1Tarbender thank god, a leafs fan that doesn't chirp the sens and respects canadian hockey teams. ur fellow fans need to learn some respect when it comes to the sens and other teams. No offence but its a known that the leafs are the most hated team in the nhl. why? because of their arrogant, disrespectful fans. (montreals not so great either). im glad ur respectful and hopefully some other leaf fans follow ur ways!!!

OK Canada, you have finally convinced me and my fellow Leafs fans that we haven't won it since 1967! Who f*****g cares?? The Leafs are my team and you couldn't pay me to cheer for anyone else! But instead of wasting energy giving Leaf fans the gears 24/7 maybe we should start getting concerned about ANY Canadian team ever winning the cup again. It's going on 19 years now, and I believe our previous longest drought was 5 years. Does that tell you something, eh?

First ever playoff game I saw live in my life, I'm PRETTY sure my parents are the ones waving the flags at 1:10. What an amazing memory. Oh, there were four penalties on that play in the modern day, too!
