A parliamentary petition showing the growing levels of concern within Okehampton, a Devon Market town, over perceived "chronic infrastructure problems" associated with new housing development was presented to Parliament.

Organised by Mel Stride and supported by the MP for Torridge and West Devon, Geoffrey Cox, the petition was launched in July against a background of concerns raised by anxious residents in Okehampton.

The petition was presented to the Speaker, Michael Martin, in the chamber of the House of Commons on Wednesday, November 28th.
