Melt & Pour Soap Frosting Revisited

In a previous soap making instructional we showed how to make soap frosting using MP soap base and whipped soap. There was quite a bit of soap frosting left-over from that project and we weren't sure what to do with it. Could it be re-used, re-mixed, remelted, or was it a total waste? We did some experimenting to find those answers.

This is used to make cupcake soaps. You pour the cupcake bottom and then frost with this soap frosting. A very cute soap when finished. Yes, the frosting does harden.

what temperature should the frosting be before you push it out?

when I did this for the first time the icing was extremely soft even after letting in dry out for weeks. any tips?

Thanks for the great idea, been wondering how to make frosting for ages now. Mine didn't work with the glycerine and I used less M&P soap, just enough to melt the soft soap. It does dry out, but not like the M&P soap.
