Their not always hyper and like every dog they demand attention. Once my dal hit 3 he was very calm and mature.

if you say so mine is eight and is happy going for long walks or having lazy days depends how you train them it is hardy fair to just attack the breed like that!!!

To an extent. I had a dalmatian, which had puppies. We had 2 dalmatians at one time, and only had one for many years. While she was an active family member, she was also content to lay down in the room with us. Dogs respond to their owners MOST times, if you're calm they'll be calm. But sometimes you just can't help the genes.
