@flymoua David Heu, They do the same thing, and when he came down to the states i didnt know what it was or what kind of style fishing it was. I know his was pretty dam expensive though.

We are using Islander Reels and Raven Vectra SST 3, Rods are St. Croix and G Loomis GL2, GL3 and IMX. No videos posted with my GLX yet. All 13ft steelhead rods. And for bait, mainly fresh salmon roe, naturally cured.

Nah, this isn't flyfishing. I don't even know how to fly fish yet. Wanna start learning this year. This is called "float fishing" or "centerpin" fishing. It's becoming very popular in the Great Lakes area. Almost all serious fishermen fish this style. It's a lot more effective, it's more fun and the fight is a whole different game.
Once you catch a big fish on a float, you'll never go back to bait casting or spin casting!
