  • John can sing with the best and that includes Keith

  • this song sends the ghost of the past running through my blood. Listen to the version on Texas Tornados album Esta Bueno. both are at the top, this one is the most heart felt.

  • truly beautiful, god bless the whitley family.

  • jackfrostbob is whats wrong with country music today you have people like him making all the calls what a fool. this is a great job on this song. true country

  • **As for jackfrostbob, who had his say, now I going to have mine. Your interpretation is way off, a little to neat and tidy. I've learned the kind of feeling that goes into one of these songs comes from living some of the heart ache. My take on it, is he flat nailed it. The Whitley's are true talent.

  • Okay, John was my 1st cousin.

John is the oldest son of Dwight, and Flo Whitley. Keith was the brother of Dwight.

  • the mandolin is nice but the interpretation and tempo are all wrong. Missed the point of the song completely, there are feelings and states of mind that are so beautifully expressed in the song but he comes nowhere near them in his version. Where's the desperation, the craving for relief and release? where's the expansive feeling when he describes his fantasy? . loose, Lose and blues finally in the refrain should come down forcefully, as a final release not in lacklustre way. By far Sub par.
