I remember Lynne (Irene) saying that the tears of the characters were very much genuine and you can really see that, feels like Kate is speaking as herself rather than Sally.

I couldnt imagine Sally Fletcher played by anyone else... just as I couldnt imagine Alf being played by anyone other than Ray Meagher... in my eyes, Kate IS Sally and Ray IS Alf.
