Quick tutorial on how I seal my dreads.
Twisting is very important in this, so pay attention.

Music:
Where'd You Go - R.Dot
999,999/1,000,000 - Nine Inch Nails (Yeah, love this band a crapload!)
Please buy some dreads from me so I can see them next year :D

  • Can you burn/seal the end tips with a lighter since it's Kanekalon? I find I like my dreads to be extra sealed so that there isn't the slightest risk of unraveling.

  • @lovelymasquerade I think steam is powerful enough :P KK gives off this nasty smell when set on fire. It's actually toxic. Not the best idea! All you need is a good pair of pliers and a good source of steam (believe me, steam + pliers = hot metal = perfect seal = ??? = profit).

  • what site do you recommend to buy your KK? i'm in australia too, and i'm really interested in learning/making dreads :3

  • @thehorrorofheart Either Cypherlox or I Kick Shins.

  • @babyjolo When it has cooled down, just push the button (it's a mechanical thing, not electronic) til the pressure releases, no need to completely empty it, unless you're not going to use it for a while, which is how my steamers cark it so fast lol.

  • @babyjolo I think your washer may have broken >_< I've had two of them explode like that!

    Thanks for watching!

  • @Mcmyou1 Mmm, aqua and white ;)

  • The Candycane dread looks awesome, I'm totally going to try that, I'm thinking aqua and white =D Thanks for uploading these Vids their a real big help!

  • @MizzToxicNeedles Well, I don't make jumbo dreads, so I don't think I'll be able to do a vid. There's a video somewhere called "Jumbo Goddess Dreads". Do a search for it, you may get ideas.

Otherwise, you're just looking at palm rolling. You definitely have to backcomb A LOT of hair for big dreads.

  • can you make a tutorial on how to make and seal single jumb dreadfalls ...

im trying to figure out how much hair i need to make a jumbo dread fall andhow to seal them so that the water doesnt shrink them so they can stay big.
