we have only 50 and to be honest are one of the loudest, in tune, and well managed bands!!! =]

i know u mean well but not ALL small bands suck!!!

i shall be sending u a recording of me band when i get one on here so that i don't appear to be all talk ^_^!!!!

    TOODLES YO xD

  • I had this song running LAPS through my head while I was reading "Firestar's Quest" by Erin Hunter. Weird.

So, yeah, I'm in a nationwidewide-known band (well, our MARCHING band is very famous, but I don't know about our concert band...) and we're playing this piece. It was extremely hard at first, but now's it's...okay. Catchy, though!

  • @No2clarinet Jazmyn, you African. How is it I always find you?

And by the way. Whoever said small bands suck .. our version of Australian Up-Country tune is on my profile. Go listen to it. It's pretty epic.

  • you really need to tune your flutes better, but besides for that you did an ok job...

  • Good Performance considering how hard the piece is and how small your ensemble is. A couple things could've been better in my opinion:

For one thing blend with-in the entire ensemble could've been better, but maybe it's just the lack of instrumentation.

More work with entrances could've been used at 1:20 to 1:25.

My biggest issue with this is the lack of dynamic contrast at the end, if you listen to a PRO recording, you'll hear a wealth of dynamics in the last 30 seconds.

  • It's a hard tune to play and sound really good but that brass section just... It sticks out horribly and the wind section just is hard to hear at the beginning. They definitely pull it together by the end but I'm thinking that your baritone player should listen to the rest of the band as well.
