"The Wets were the only British band invited to appear at Elvis Presley - The Tribute...And the Glasgow boys blew the rest of the acts away, playing It's now or never.The legendary Sam Moore said Marti was the best singer on the night. Such was the strength of their performance, the Wets were begged to record the song as a track on an album, to commemorate - or cash in on - the evening, and then release it as a single. the Wets turned down the idea..They didn't want recording of another cover. Thanks to you nikita4686 for posting this. I remember seeing this on TV when it was first aired. Knowing how much Mark can use his voice, i was a little bit dissapointed as it seemed a bit restrained-- until the crescendo at the end- WOW!
All the more effective for the understated ( but perfect) delivery throughout the song.
