  • Thank you! I think it's possible, but personally I find it kind of fussy and I spend more time fetching stitches I drop than it takes just to use the cable needle in the first place. That said, you can search Grumperina's blog for her post showing how to make a larger cable without a needle, so you can see if the method works for you. I can't post a link here, but use a search with "Grumerina" and "cable without a cable needle" and you should be able to find it.
