A "gentlemanly fighter" (yes, that may sound like an oxymoron) respects the game, his team, his opponents, his "job", and his "sparring partners". Such a player would not pound on a guy after he's gone down to his knees. Watch someone like Georges Laraque. Once his opponent drops to even one knee, he waits to see if the guy is going to jump back up. If not, then he just turns away and lets the refs come in. Carcillo proved in this video that he's no gentleman when it comes to fisticuffs. Anyhoo.
