  • It wasn't banned. The commercial was pulled from the air due to a law suit between Pepsi (who owns Gatorade) and Coca-Cola (who owns Powerade).

  • That's all been said in the article by Slate that I linked in the description for the video.

    It's being called "banned" on here is simply in reference to some of the wording in the original title, also.

  • Why the hell was that banned? Surely Amish people have a sense of humour too?

  • It had something to do with a lawsuit over how "low calorie" drinks are bad for athletes.

  • it wasn't banned... they took it off the air because sports drinks SHOULD have more calories.
