This is a project involving a lot of people that I did for a class called History and Literature of Music (or H&L). I cannot post my resources, so if you're really interested leave something in the comments and I'll try and get them to you. (No copyright infringement intended)

Please note:
In the final scene of the video the galliard is explained as a direct quote:
The galliard is an athletic dance, characterized by leaps, jumps, hops, and other similar figures. The main feature that defines a galliard step is that the last two beats consist of a large jump, landing with one leg ahead of the other. This jump is called a cadence, and the final landing is called the posture. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galliard
