Filipinos are not only influenced by the Spanish, but also greatly influenced by our Malay Muslim brothers from Indonesia and Malay Peninsula. Filipinos are Austronesian people with many foreign influence, that is why Filipinos does not completely fit in as a Latin nation. Despite all of the Spanish influence many of us concider ourself Asiatic. Although just like the rest of Asia, Filipino culture is taking shape they are becoming more and more Americanize.

Congratulations, but I never said village.
In Madridejos Spain we are "Villa" it's a old status which includes court and taxes collector. There isn't any relation with village, only latin root.
