This reminds me of the Shel Silverstein poem: Pamela Purse.
And when we got grabbed by that wild savage band,
Who tied us together and made us all stand
In a long line in front of the King of the land-
A cannibal known as Fry-'Em-Up Dan,
Who sat on his throne in a bib so grand
With a lick of his lips and a fork in his hand,
As he tried to decide who'd be first in the pan-
From back of the line, in that shrill voice of hers,
Pamela Purse yelled, "Ladies first."

Great stuff! I wish I'd been born at the beginning of the 70s instead of the end!

It amazes me that people watch this and think that is how a lady should act. These people are certainly in the minority, but... wow really?

I was 8 when this was shown in school, and I vaguely remember with hilarity that during the segment when Harry Belafonte sings, everyone (including myself) started screaming, "O.J. SIMPSON!!!" It was glorious pandemonium.
That aside, I love with movie, and I JUST downloaded the album on iTunes. Thank you for uploading!

Those tigers are hippies.

The tigers look like refugees from the Yellow Submarine.
@bitchassjosh
...you completely miss the point, It isn't about acting like a Lady, it's about not being snobby, stuck up, and vain. This showcases Vanity and self centerdness masquerading as being "a lady".
