@mrbillett There is a wonderful collection of 18 songs Salem 66 1983-87 that is awesome. I believe on the Homestead label. It came out many years ago and I snatched it. I grew up in Boston and was part of the vibrant music scene with many great nights at Salem 66 shows.
Really - Judy, Beth, Miriam? Without Salem 66, there would be no - Avril Lavigne, Juliana Hatfield, The Ettes, (fill in the blank)... I saw this band every time they came to LA in the '80s, at the Lingerie, Texas Records in Santa Monica... Come on girls, how about a reunion? At least a DVD?
I love this band. Thank God for college radio in the 80s. Their album Down the Primrose Path is great, & their best-of, Your Soul Is Mine, Fork It Over, is well worth tracking down.
Well - the video is a little dark but the soundtrack is amazing (LOL!). i LOOOOOVEd Salem 66 back in the day, saw them pretty much every time they played in '85 / '86. had a total crush on beth kaplan ... still have never converted my "A Ripping Spin" lp to mp3.
