For crying out loud people! Dead Space is a fairly standard name. IT'S JUST A COINCIDENCE.

Plus, any movie/game with such name is bound to feature:

a) Space

b) A spaceship

c) Aliens / monsters

d) Hell / Virus / mad scientists / mad computers

@agustincordes Even if it's just a coincidence, you can't honestly blame people to make the jokes and/or connections between the two works. I mean, with all the similarities, it's hard not to make those types of comments even knowing that the two works are unrelated.
