This was an old project of mine, just uploaded a video to show it off ;P
They teleport a maximum of 5 people, unlimited range (within a simulator) to an unlimited number or ring platforms (or aschen-style transporters that you can also see in the video). The platforms can be configured to show the rings going up (series style), or down (original movie style), they also feature several themes (that can be customized).
Although I never made them with the intent of selling them and pretty much never log on to second life, they are the primary mode of transportation in the "Solarian" simulator (adult), and probably others to which I distributed free copies.
