@MrsVanAs Thanks. No, I didn't need to add anything to the fondant. I think it's because the frills are quite thin, so the fondant dries out quite quickly and can keep it's shape
This is such a beautiful cake. My daughter has requested this for her birthday. I have a few questions if you don't mind: did you remove the outside crust as it says in the book? Would you make the cake a 10" instead of an eight?
@40cyndy Sorry for the delayed reply. Thanks for your comment. Don't mind the questions at all. I did remove the crust of the cake (though I didn't use Debbie's cake recipe) and I would probably make 8inches, otherwise the cake might look out of proportion.
Fantastic job, looks amazing, do you add something to your fondant to make it more sturdy for frilling?
