It's 'bout time. I think the tune could be used for "Sittin' on the banks of the O-hi-o" and "Way, hey, O-hi-o." Anyway, it reminded me of that song.

This is great!
I know nothing about Sweeney's Men.
Is the line up Paul Brady, Johnny Moynihan and Andy Irvine?

Sweeney's Men.
Best ever.

I was at that concert - a highlight of the Fiddlers Green Festival in Rostrevor County Down - Johnny Moynihan sang The Hiking Song unaccompanied and it was fantastic, I think it is on here somewhere - Eddi Reader came on later, I think, and did a great set too - all in all, a good night

At different times, yeah. Andy was an original member of Planxty, along with Liam O'Flynn, Christy Moore and Dónal Lunny. Later on Dónal left the band to be replaced by Johnny Moynihan. A little while before Christy left the band, Paul was picked up to join them as well. Then they split up, only to reform some years later ('78 or '79), and then they released one album that had Noel Hill in the line up as well.
