This is VERY informative! I am currently taking a jewelry and metal arts course at the college I attend and although your method is different from my teacher's it seems just as easy.
Thanks. I am no longer confused about bezeling! :)

how do you remove the extra silver on the outisde of the bezel?

@brittanywyatt You'd cut off the excess metal using a jeweler's saw, then refine the edge with a file.

@elsaalcocer1 Thanks! I'm glad you learned from the videos. To learn how to set a stone in a bezel, watch our video series: Setting a Cabochon in a Bezel Parts 1-3. You can find the videos on our YouTube channel. Enjoy!

Thank you for answering my previous question about what size gauge to use for the fine silver bezel. Now I need to ask, I've seen it stated that the best size saw blade for beginners, to use for sterling silver, is a #0. Is that the same as #0/1 ? Because I haven't seen a #0 yet on line. Thanks again.

@JEANNIEinAcamera Saw blade manufacturers are all different - you may encounter #0 blades, but generally they're similar to #1/0 (pronounced "one-ought"). For a beginner, I'd actually say that #1/0 blades may be a bit too course. It's all personal preference... but I usually prefer a finer blade - the cuts are smoother so there's less cleanup. Try a #4/0 and see how you like it. There's also a free saw blade chart that you can download from our web site. Look under the "Reference" section.
