  • @plp1964 I want to see it, but i will be reluctant to see it if they are not using Judy Garland's voice for a biopic based on the life of the most amazing entertainer ever!

  • I would love the opportunity to see another movie about Judy. Anne Hathaway is a very fine actress, I believe she could a good job potraying Judy on screen. But not using Judy's voice is a HUGE mistake. I long to sit in a darkened theater, hear that voice filling the air and see the scenes from her life and movies come to life...now that would be amazing!

  • I reallly don't see what you got against Anne Hathaway. If you saw La vie en rose you could easily Mistake Marion Cotillard for Edith Piaf altough in real life they look nothing alike. They are tons of amazing biopic out there. And Anne Hathaway has a facial ressemblance to Judy Garland.

  • Isabel Keating Really nails Judy's speaking voice. I'm really amazed that People want to lose money doing Bio pics on TV or Film of Judy's life. Judy is one woman who cannot be imittated now matter how great the actrss is portraying her. In the Anne Hathaway film they are not even using Judy's own voice for Hathaway to Lip Sync to when she is singing. Hathaway is 5'11 and Judy was 4'11''. I dont see how this movie will be any good. All of Judy fans will be scratching our heads wondering "WTF"

  • " I was born to do that. To work and try (!) to entertain.."

Oh yeah....And a little more than entertainment, I might add...

Man that Got Away from "Star" is a Masterpiece. Basta.

And hence it has no purpose to describe in words. Listen. And listen again. It is a vocally unsurpassed performance. (Maria Callas might be close in her best performances..)
