Here is an alternative way to do some of your single leg work heavy. We sometimes do cluster sets of 2 or three at max intensity and speed with a very heavy weight. This helps develop ME single leg strength as well as increase motor unit summation. This lift was 100lb Db's and 40lbs of vest weight.

  • best lower body strength exercise. I do them too. But i recommend for you to do a wider split. Front food more ahead for more hamstring action and do with a bar in a rack for stability. Kee pressure on you heel and use a bar for your back leg cause you can pull with the hipflexors too.

    But keep doing bulgarian split squats.

  • U idiot, you are sacrificing your form to lift heavier. U have to go lighter and keep your torso straight.

  • i find it much easier to do bugarians with the bar. and no need to hold 100 pound dumbell

  • there is another way to do this you do like a back squat the only thing bad with it is that it is dangerous if you give out but it is a great workout for sports that need leg strength like football
